Birthday Haul!

Yesterday was my birthday,  so I decided to take the day off and do some shopping. Why not right? Shopping is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It is probably one of the things my husband does not love so much, but I swear in my vows it should have said through better or worse, through Sephora and Ulta. If it didn't it definitely should have. Anyway, I digress. I did make stops at both Sephora and Ulta and also the lovely people in my life picked me up some great makeup gifts. Today's blog post is dedicated to all the wonderful purchases I made. I am lucky enough that my birthday falls right during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty, so I did pick up some beauty steals as well.

Overall I had a wonderful birthday. My mom, my daughter, and I literally shopped till we dropped and ended up in my big king size bed for a nap after all the festivities. I am very fortunate to have so many wonderful people in my life. Thanks for the great birthday. Here is what I picked up. Enjoy!

First thing I got was some lashes and accessories from houseoflashes.com. I love their lashes, and their lash glue is a must have for me. I also got this cute case to put all my lashes. Those of you who wear falsies know the struggle when you have a loose pair of lashes hanging around and this case solves that problem.

I grabbed some stuff from Too Faced. Can you smell the peanut butter and jelly? I love this palette so far. It is really creamy and pigmented. It is very warm so if you are a cool toned person you may want to stay away. I will post a dedicated post for this palette soon. I also got my ride or die bonzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. I love this stuff. Since it was 21 days of beauty I got the Too Faced Lip Injector. Not sure how I feel about this yet... I grabbed a Melted Chocolate lippie in Melted Metallic Hot Chocolate. Lastly, I picked up a Too Faced Shadow Insurance which is just a great eye shadow primer.

I also picked up the new Milani Conceal +Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation. I love this so far. Very full coverage!

Tarte came out with an amazing Spring line and I picked up one of the The Lip Sculptor lipstick and lip gloss duo. I got mine in the color Sass. So far I am in love! Grab one they are worth the money.

I also got some other odds and ends like hair care, sunnies from Steve Madden and I tried some Essence eyeliners. I got the Gel Eye pencil and the 2 in 1 eyeliner pen. I will let you know what I think. I also got a Velvetmatte Liquid Lipstick from LA Splash.

Don't forget to get those birthday gifts. Ulta has a mini Benefit Roller Lash and Sephora has a choice between the Marc Jacobs lipstick eyeliner duo or the Fresh face mask.

Hello All
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Cindy and I am your maybe above average makeup lover. What I mean is that I love makeup maybe more than your average person. I love the trans formative aspect of makeup and honestly it is just FUN. I love shopping and I wanted to share my experiences with others in hopes that I help you the next time you are out shopping for makeup. I love both high end and more affordable makeup. When I am not spending my time playing with makeup I am teaching junior high. I hope you enjoy my blog! Share with your friends and enjoy!
